The #47 driven by Marcos Ambrose is owned by JTG Daugherty Racing. The two main investors in that company are Tad Geschickter and Brad Daugherty. They have an alliance with MWR in which they buy chassis and engines, and receive engineering support. Its very similar to the alliance Stewart-Haas Racing has with Hendrick Motorsports.
