How to get over my fear?

I love playing sports. I pitch for my softball team. When i was pitching it was kinda windy and I threw the softball and it hit the girl in the face. When that happen it felt like there was softball stuck in my throat and I try ed to say sorry but it would not come out. She was passed for almost 10 mins. When she woke up she had blood all over the place. After that game I can't pick up a softball. What should I do, I love playing softball. It runs threw my family. But when I try to pick up a softball it all comes back to me and I just don't know what to do?
