I'm from GA and I'm tired of the hot humid summers. I drove to Montana a couple of weeks ago with my girlfriend but there is not much here and we are having a hard time finding a house to rent. I do love the weather though and would like to find somewhere to look with similar cool weather but not such a big empty state. I have heard about California's cooler summers but it sounds pretty expensive to live there and Maine would be to far to drive right now. Any suggestions or smaller cities that might be what I'm looking for? I do like the cool windy weather and high elevation. Probably nowhere near GA or the southeast that have cool summers.

Anyone else recieve SSI Disability for their child and turn in MWR every month? Have you ever made to much?

My son receives SSI Disability benefits because he has a form of Austim and ADHD. Normally we turn in our monthly paystubs for them to determine how much he gets in the following months. This month however my husband gets a bonus that will put us over the income limit for a check from SSI. My fear is they will cut him off because we made to much in Dec and we will have to go through a long process to reinstate him. It isn't the lack of SSI check that scares me, its his medical coverage. I spoke with a rep from SSI this morning and she said it would cut off his check and medical but when we turned in January paystubs it would start again. I am worried about the length of the process. Anyone else have experience with this?

Pony scared of the wind?

My pony Cody, a 13.2hh 11yo, has had a huge fear of wind since before we bought him. Every time I ride him in windy weather, he spooks every few minutes and refuses to jump one tyre jump covered in old bits of a bush. Hi all, what is pepper extract that you find in food? What I mean is, what kind of pepper is it? Is it black, white, bell pepper, chilli pepper or what? So my internet lately has been going out non stop (Normally at night) and I'm very sick of it, Every time it does I have to get up and unplug the modem and the router and let them both restart. Then after it will come back on but then go out again in about 10-20 minutes. My set up is an (sorry don't know the year's only the models) Arris Modem and a Cisco router. Also its not windy or raining when this happens. The only people using this internet is me (On main computer) and my brother on his laptop. Am I a responsible pet owner?

I have a rabbit, a guinea pig (I am currently trying to find a friend for her), and 2 rats. My rats live in my room, in a large bird cage with 3 added levels and tons of hammocks and toys (I typed the dimensions into several cage calculators including ones that include levels and it fits 2 rats comfortably). My guinea pig lives in a Midwest Pets Guinea Habitat cage that is similar to a C&C cage. It is 7.5 square feet and when I find a friend for her I am buying another so it will be 15 square feet. My rabbit lives outside in a very safe and secure situation. First of all, I live in the city Eugene, Oregon so there is very mild weather here. It rains a lot but temperatures don't ever go below 15 or 20 degrees Fahrenheit and don't go above 95 degrees at the most. In my yard there is a large wooden frame covered in chicken wire, with a roof, and a door (that securely latches.) It is about a 5 or 6 foot square. Inside of that, is a wire cage, the length of the enclosure, attached to the wooden frame. The whole thing is right under a bunch of tall shady trees and bushes, it is never sunny there. In the winter we put Plastic around 3 1/2 sides of the enclosure, so that he is warm and safe from the rain/wind. It also makes it hard for predators to get in or scare him. We provide him with plenty of hay to burrow in in the winter. In the summer we take the plastic off all sides except the side that the back of his cage is on (so predators can't get to the cage as easily), but it is still very well ventilated. His cage is about 10.5 square feet and 18 inches high. Even though his cage has a wire bottom, about 1/4 of it is always covered with a large generous handful or hay so he never has to sit on the wire. I change the hay daily and I scrape out the droppings/hay under the cage weekly. Also weekly, I wash and disinfect his food/water dishes and scrape the bottom of the cage. I also spray the area under the cage with bleach. For exercise, My rabbit has a 6 foot by 6 foot dog kennel with a roof and wire on the bottom. The kennel is in the shade over some nice grass. There is a stool for him to play on and some brick platforms too that I made. I put him in it every day for at least 1 or 2 hours, but usually 4 or 5 hours (more on the weekends). I don't put him out if it is raining really hard or very windy. I give my guinea pig exercise in a large corner of my basement that I covered in towels/blankets and then put a pen around the corner. I spread her veggies all around and she also has boxes/toys to play with. She runs around for about 2 or 3 hours a day. For my rats, I have very thoroughly rat proofed my room and I let them out while I do some of my homework or whenever I have time to watch them, usually at least 1 hour, but more often 2 or 3 hours. For diet, my rabbit and guinea pig get 1/8 cup Oxbow pellets (guinea pig for the guinea pig and rabbit pellets for the rabbit of course) and 1 packed cup, or 2 loose cups of vegetables. They also get a large handful of unlimited orchard grass hay. My rats get a handful of Harlan Teklad lab blocks and about 1 tablespoon each of treats/fruits/veggies. I spot clean my guinea pig and rat cages daily, and clean the whole cage weekly. Here is the thing: This description of what I do is really what I try very hard to do, but sometimes I get really busy with homework/chores/events and things I have to go to. So sometimes I don't have time to spot clean, or do a whole cage clean, sometimes I clean the cage every 2 weeks, or I can't spot clean for a couple days. Sometimes I don't have time to let my bunny out, or it's raining. This is not really on a super regular basis, but it happens and I feel really bad. I really really want to give them best care I can to my animals but school and parents seem to get in the way a lot. If I stopped doing my schoolwork, then my parents would make me get rid of my pets. I have a very special bond with each of them and I also let my rabbit run around my fenced yard. He sticks close to me and follows me around. If I go inside to get a tissue, he will be waiting at the door for me. I love them very much. In the summer things like that won't happen very much, and next year I am going to a school with less homework, but 1 hour longer than most school days. I think it will be a better fit and I will have more time for my animals. In general am I a responsible pet owner?

What's going on over there?

Alright my husband deployed awhile ago, and finally made it to his COB where he'll be stationed. For the first couple days everything was normal we got to talk everyday bc he isn't allowed to leave the wire. So he had a schedule of how his day went. The last time I spoke to him he told me he'd get back on at his normal time and then he never did, and I haven't heard from him since then... The FRG sent out a mass email bc I guess a lot of the wives haven't heard from their husband either, and they told us it's bc they are busy... Which ok I know my husband may be busy, but the poor guy would rather talk to someone in his family then sleep or eat. Plus I don't believe that every husband would not get any chance to contact their family bc they are busy. So what could really be going on? Is there like a black out or did the company get into trouble and aren't allowed to use the MWR? I've never been through a deployment before but my husband's 1SG told me I'd get to talk to my husband everyday. So i'm confused as to why I haven't spoken to him in like a week. So if anyone has any idea I'd really like to know and if you have any idea how long this usually lasts would be great thanks!

Some of these women have been on multiple times, screaming at random men they haven’t been a father yet the man has no obligation to be a “Father” until he is proven to be the father. These women and men have no class and are screaming and acting like the world owes them something. If these women wanted a father or a man to be “responsible” why didn’t they make better choices when they decided to sleep around with multiple men within a 2 week conception time period? I was overseas once on deployment and was watching an episode in the MWR and some Brits were with us and turned and looked at us and asked if this was a normal thing. I clearly stated no, the Maury show might have a lot of paternity episodes but this does not represent a cross section of America. However, it makes me sad that there are this many irresponsible breeders in this country. What do you think of the prevalence of men and women who require paternity to determine children and are on TV acting like children? These children do not have a chance in hell to succeed with parents like these. What do you think? I have been playing mwr for a while just casually. I reached level 56 and I chose to prestige. I am doing this in order to get better and get more headshots. I only want to use m16 even tho mp5 is better in my mind for most because with the m16 if you get headshots you get the kill faster and easier. Good simple recipe for chicken empanadas?

Help. I have made beef empanadas before but never chicken. After some research on-line I've found a ton of recipes with too many ingredients and they all seem to call for hard boiled eggs. This makes me question the entire recipe. I've had chicken empanadas before that were made by a Puerto Rican family member and there wasn't any egg in them. Maybe she cut it so small I couldn't tell. Not sure. I do recall a tomato flavor and green olives. I know that different nationalities cook their food differently. Am I prepared for cross country?

I've ran track since 7th grade (I now will be a sophmore in highschool). I've always been more of a sprinter/short distance guy. I usually run 2-3.5 miles 3/4 times a week on my neighberhood nature trail. Each loop is equal to about 1.5/2 laps of a regular track. It is very hilly and windy (Just like most cross country trails are). I have asthma and practice starts in July so I'me trying to strengthen my lungs. Will I be ready for this season? 2/3.5 miles is my easy range and if I was forced (say by coach/ other teamates) I could prolly run up to 4.5/5.

How do I deal with my Mom?

Sorry, it sounds like you are having a rough time. Sounds like your mom is also stressed and having a rough time. I don't know how old you are, but you need to make sure you get a good breakfast and a solid lunch, every single day. You sound like you are old enough to wake up in the morning and cook yourself breakfast and fix your own lunch. Then you will be less tempted to snack. I don't see how eating three fruit cups could ever be bad for you. Fruit is a good thing to snack on and I'm sorry your mom called you fat. Even if you are a little overweight, that is not a way to motivate you to get healthier. Let your mom know calmly that it hurt your feelings, but wait to tell her until you and she are both calm. I doubt she really wants to hurt you. Then tell her that you want to be more responsible with your meals. If you show you are being responsible, hopefully she will be less angry and more patient and try to help you. I'm sorry that this is happening to you.

Help with tofu recipe please?

We got some tofu the other day so I tried to make some tofu stirfry... I made some really good tofu stirfry a couple of months ago but I forgot to save the recipe! so I spent forever looking for another recipe. I finally found one that looked okay, but when I made it the tofu was WAY too salty. It said to marinate the tofu in soy sauce and garlic, and I cooked veggies seperately (broccoli, mushrooms, peas, onions). I tried the tofu and it was WAY too salty and marinating it made it look really unappetizing (it looked like beef chunks; I'm a vegetarian and I never was a fan of beef before) I put it in with the veggies hoping they'd dilute the salty taste or something, but I ending up taking it out and storing it in the fridge because it was just wayyyyy too salty to eat. Is there any way to make it taste less salty? Oh, and does anyone have any tried and true good recipes using tofu?

The diarrhea is because of the change in her diet. It wasn't a gradual switch. So if it persists you need to put her on a special home diet of cooked chicken and rice or ground beef with elbows and feed 3 small servings a day for a few days and then gradually add her regular food to this mixture. I don't know the size of your dog so give her enough to satisfy her but not too much.

You also want it to stay enjoyable, so you learn proper form and techniques ( practice is needed) and you allow your brain and body time to catch up to your mind's new ambitions ( your digestion, sleep, energy, mood, etc, will all improve over time, and need to again to keep up, without letting you down. At your age it's also very important to keep things sensible, as your developing still hormonally, and can mess that up for life if you push yourself to hard, so don't be in a rush, you will see slow and steady will get you there!

I just got home from work and noticed a scratch on my leg. It's a little deep enough to draw some blood and make it sting, and my fear is walking in the dark. When I went out to my car I got in right away, kinda quickly coz it was a dark parking lot, and then when I got home I ran in, because it was windy. I didn't see or hear any animals on the way, and I'm wondering if I just maybe even scratched my leg in my car ( since i got in pretty quick )... Can you eat molded beef jerky?

Basically my mother makes her own beef jerky. She marinates the slices of beef then leaves it out in the sun for it to dry. I use to eat these a lot before watching the process. Recently I saw that the beef were starting to mold which completely disgusted me therefore, stopped me from eating them since. Of course, I pointed this out to my mom and she insists that it's ok. She eats them pretty often and what she does is she cooks it in the oven or fry them in a skillet. And I've never seen her get sick from it. But the thought of mold just makes my stomach turn. My question is, is this abnormal? Can you get sick from this?

The vet believes my dog may be allergic to the typical meats in dog foods: chicken, beef etc.She suggested that I find a dog food with more unusual meats that my dog would be less likely to be allergic to. Is it true that most dogs with allergies are actually allergic to the meat instead of the added stuff? Have you ever had a dog with skin allergies, frequent ear infections or frequent infections in general? What dog food worked for you? Do you know of any dog foods with unusual meets such as kangaroo that have worked well for you? Also, as I am currently searching for a job I really can not afford to spend 40+ dollars on dog food every week. I love her dearly but, I just can not do that at this time. Can i eat normally and still get results with P90X?

I have an average body type and i've decided to do P90X to get in shape over the summer. I eat like a normal teenager, occasional Chickfila here and there, Outback with the family getting me a nice ol' steak and maybe a cookie or two when my sister bakes. Most the time i eat whatever my mom cooks which is like stir fry beef, spaghetti, potatoes and baked chicken, etc. I also drink sodas, but of course I can cut that down to mostly water. Can I get results with P90X with my current diet? I'm not looking to get to bodybuilder status, just get a little more healthier and add some muscle before go to college (currently a senior in HS).

I have been playing mwr for a while just casually. I reached level 56 and I chose to prestige. I am doing this in order to get better and get more headshots. I only want to use m16 even tho mp5 is better in my mind for most because with the m16 if you get headshots you get the kill faster and easier. its time to switch to 2nd food. they r a bit thicker, but not much. once he is used to them... a couple weeks, then u can start pureeing ur foods. meats and veggies and fruits. no need for extra sugars, salts or seasonings. he doesnt need them. some babies at a year old dont have teeth yet, but they still gnaw the food with their gums. if he can do the pincer grasp u can give him cooked carrots cut into tiny bites and he can feed himself and u can feed them. i think thats about 9 months.

Some of these women have been on multiple times, screaming at random men they haven’t been a father yet the man has no obligation to be a “Father” until he is proven to be the father. 2000 Honda Civic 28kmiles check engine light and shaking at idle HELP?

Last night, I was driving home when my cars check engine light came on. I immediately pulled over, and when I did, my car started shaking like crazy. There weren't any strange sounds coming from under the hood, and I was real close to home (maybe 5-10 minutes away) so I decided to carefully drive home. I noticed that when I accelerated, my car seemed to be working extra hard to get going. I was about half way there when I smelled burning (but no smoke). Eventually I drove it all the way home, it was too dark to see and really rainy/windy last night so this morning I went to check oil and coolant levels. I put coolant in and tried to start it and let it run for a while before I checked the oil (my owners manual said to do that) but my poor car died completely after about a minute. I started it again and it did the same thing. I checked the oil anyways, and the oil level was at about the 1st lil dot. I was going to take it in on Monday anyways to get a tune up and oil change, but now I have to get it towed in to get it checked out and fixed. does anyone have an idea of whats wrong? and how much do you think it'll cost to fix it?

I've been trying to get into the Naval Academy, and would like to know if the fact I made a 79 in honors chemistry will inhibit me going. I've taken all honors and advanced placement classes, made mostly A's, two or three B's, and did pretty well on my PSAT, so I'm planning on getting a good score when I take the SAT next year. Vice president for two years and president for one of the student council, soccer team (probably going to be captain next year), I volunteer to coach youth soccer on a base near my house and work for MWR. I'm sorry but if you do...You probably have no skill. I don't think it's bad to use them every now and then. But when you rely on them more than your actual gun to get kills you probably suck. Grenade launchers or "noob tubers" are the most hated players on MWR. If you do it...You should stop. It could actually make a difference....More than half of all people who play use them online and it's just getting old. When you deployed, what could have made it a little better on you and your family back home?

We're a military family and are trying to help out those who are deployed, whether in a small or big way. My husband and I have been talking about possibly starting a charity to help out deployed troops, but just about everything morale-wise I can imagine is either already taken care of by the MWR or the USO. So, I need some ideas. When you were deployed, what could have made it better that someone back home could help out with? I'm thinking along the lines of something people can donate, and we can either give to families who have deployed spouses/dads/moms, or to the person deployed. Or even a pen pal service? Any ideas, even if they don't seem relevant to what I've written here, will be taken to heart. I haven't been deployed yet, so I need a point of view from those who have been. Sorry, but GRUMPY is correct here. From the sounds of it, you are a prime example of why I think it is crazy how fast the army promotes people. If it's one thing a good NCO learns is time management; not excuses. You are not in the states in garrison anymore. You are in a war zone. With that, the rules are more serious and for good reason. You are very lucky to just get counseling. As an NCO, you are held responsible for a lot of things you don't even know about. You are not being torn down. You are being corrected. If you don't see what you did was wrong, you have no business being an NCO. Additionally, what others get away with is not your concern. The fact is, you were sleep on duty and you were away from your place of duty for personal reasons. If you can't hold up your end of the log, don't pick it up. You have found out that you are not superman....the hard way. You've only been in theater for 2 weeks and probably still suffering from jet lag which why they probably put you on the shift you are on...to adjust. However, bad things can happen at night and YOU as the NCO are responsible. The fact that your troops knew where you are or are covering for you doesn't cut it. Why aren't these troops helping you with your paperwork? Why aren't you mentoring them to help you so they can become team leaders too. Not to be harsh, but you are finding out what happens when you try to be an "Army of one". Use this as a learning experience or do not re-enlist. Afterall, that IS what UCMJ action is supposed to be...a teaching tool; not punishment. Do some more homework on that. BTW, if you do get what you want, you will just be putting someone else in your place that may or may not be able to handle it or doesn't want to deploy away from their family as well.

I need help finding a Viet Nam book.?

This is the third time I've submitted this question. I keep forgetting to extend it. "Doh!". Anyway, I'm looking for a book about a picket boat captain off the coast of Viet Nam during the war. He was either a LCDR or a full CDR, I don't remember. He was assigned picket duties, but kept putting his vessel in harm's way when he shouldn't have. He got involved in live-fire exercises putting his ship in the line of fire, going on unauthorized patrols looking for a fight to get into, etc. He bought outlandish things for his own personal use aboard ship, like a toilet seat that was a different color than the covers in all the other heads aboard ship. I still had time for pc. but there is a 30 minute usage and a list to sign and waiting times. you can buy virtualy whatever you want (except guns) you can buy what you want. How do i lose fat from my glutes?

Im a 19 year old male and its kind of embarrassing for me to have fat on my glutes, and the rest of my body theres hardly any fat. I walk to work everyday about a mile away and im trying to watch what i eat but sometimes i slip because i have nothing else to eat and i just eat whatever my mother buys. I eat beef jerky everyday at work and that's it at work. I do sit ups everyday, push ups with weights, glute exercises as-well but it seems like the rest of my body is in decent shape but all the fat seems to go to my glutes and thighs and i hate that. I do jump-ropes on days im off but it still seems like im getting no where. Theres no fat on my arms, no fat on my calf's and a little fat on my stomach but most fat seems to go to my *** and thighs and i cant seem to make it go away. This is so annoying and im becoming self conscious about it and it makes me feel uncomfortable because i know my associates and others notice as-well. How can I keep my hair healthy when I go to the beach?

I'm going to the beach for a week and it'll be really windy, plus all the salt in the air (I'm not going swimming in the ocean, it's a beach in Oregon which is too cold to swim in), so I'm going to need to protect my hair from the salt in the air, and from wind damage. I do. But you have to hack some stuff. First you require the Homebrew Channel, which is not buy able on Wii Shop, it's a channel that nor I or Nintendo endorse. To get the channel go to www.wiibrew.org and search BannerBomb, you'll find the details there. After you have the homebrew channel, install the app Gecko OS, the newer version the better. Once done this get the Cod MWR hack pack (Courtesy of Hetoan2), and download it. If your game is a USA MWR, then name the txt file it's in RJAE52. Without the period at the end. Download Ocarina Cheat Manager as an application for your computer, and use it to open up the .txt file you got earlier. These are all codes to the left of Ocarina, do to the bottom and there will be a Prestige Modifier code (Don't bother with the Prestige Cycler). Now you see the code in the middle of Ocarina, change the X at the end to what you want your prestige to be. 1 for first prestige, 2 for second and so on. 10th prestige is a capital A. Then put your SD card that your using for homebrew channel and gecko os and such, and click "Export to GCT", and put it on your SD card, it will make itself a new folder. Now open up your Hombrew channel and Load up Gecko OS. Go into config and set the Hooktype to OSSleepThread, this is vital for it to work. Click 'Save Config" and load the game with Gecko. Now go Multiplayer and your prestige should be whatever you set it to. Sorry for it being so complicated but that's how it's done. I do not endorse any illegal activity with the use of Gecko OS, Homebrew channel or Ocarina Cheat code Manager.

Okay so I was at a motocross track all day saturday and was an idiot and didnt wear any sunscreen because it was windy so I was cold. I got a terrible sunburn on my face. It has gotten a lot better but it still is very swollen at the top of my nose and under my right eye. I have to go to school tomorrow and I'm extremely self conscious about how this looks. I've used aloe, been taking ibreprofun, put ice on it but nothing seems to work. I heard cranberry juice can help the swelling but I'm not sure. Siren-like noise coming from bathroom?

So im out of town right now and my mother called me this morning and along win my brother they.complained of a strange siren noise at 11:46 at night going off coming from their bathroom. Why is my wii remote not respon after a couple mins of gameplay?

I am playing COD MWR and after a bit of playing all of a sudden the wii remote and nunchuck buttons or cursor will work. it will get stuck in a position and then stay that way until i remove the batteries and put them back in the batteries are fully charged their rayovac their not battery packs thier actual batteries and ive jad them since the summer and now they stopped workinh since i brought it upstairs where it used to be. Hi I just moved into a new place w/ a roomate. I love to cook but we don't have a working oven. Is there anything more depressing than Maury show Paternity test rests? Some of these women have been on multiple times, screaming at random men they haven’t been a father yet the man has no obligation to be a “Father” until he is proven to be the father. These women and men have no class and are screaming and acting like the world owes them something. If these women wanted a father or a man to be “responsible” why didn’t they make better choices when they decided to sleep around with multiple men within a 2 week conception time period? I was overseas once on deployment and was watching an episode in the MWR and some Brits were with us and turned and looked at us and asked if this was a normal thing. I clearly stated no, the Maury show might have a lot of paternity episodes but this does not represent a cross section of America. However, it makes me sad that there are this many irresponsible breeders in this country. What do you think of the prevalence of men and women who require paternity to determine children and are on TV acting like children? These children do not have a chance in hell to succeed with parents like these. What do you think? Has our society promoted low standards when we have shows like this with such prevalent guests needing paternity tests?

dehydration. i used to ride 30 miles every weekend. i found that gatorade refreshes and rehydrates better than water under these conditions. anyway, drink lots of water before a ride. drink water and/or gatorade now. headache will recede. a 32 oz. of decaf iced tea will work. it will make you pee more than water.
